I've had mine for a year now and they are absolutely great for handling hot foods. I use them for pulling pork butt or moving hot chicken from the grill (or oven) to the cutting board (and then to hold onto it while carving it). When I can't smoke pork butt outside in the winter, I do pulled pork in my crockpot and with these gloves I can shove my hands right into the scalding liquid of the crockpot to remove the butt and then pull it apart. Another great feature is when you clean them, you just leave them on and wash your hands with soap and water under the faucet. Before I had this, I would try to get all the meat off a freshly smoked chicken using bare hands, knives, and forks, which was an uncomfortable mess. With the insulated gloves, I can now just shred away and not burn my fingers. The outside of the gloves clean up instantly, too. The only downside is if you get food inside the glove by accident; cleaning that out can be a pain.
