The history and tradition of burning charcoal dates back thousands of years and there is something magical about cooking on charcoal grill.
Coal is the fuel for the traditional barbecue, because it produces a warm climate and long-lasting cease-fire, which is virtually smokeless. The fundamentals of making charcoal by wood in an environment poor in oxygen, a process that rejects moisture and volatile gases present in the original fuel. The elimination of moisture reduces the weight of fuel consumption by up to 70% and the product of charred burns too much longer than the original piece of wood.
Coal was produced from pre-history and we know that, after the discovery of an old body of a glacier in the Tyrolean Alps. Scientists at the remains of a man behind some 5000 years and have also found he was carrying a small wooden box wrapped in leaves of burning. Scientists have deduced that the wood charred and smoking, probably what the man was using to light a fire, because outside of the window that he had with him other lightweight materials such as flint.
Already 6000 years ago, coal is the preferred fuel for smelting copper and continued to be the case for the iron and later of the 17th century, when coal was replaced by coke. Charcoal has remained popular in many other areas, much later, particularly in the amount of forests in many areas and the process of the forest is a sustainable resource. Something that should be taken into consideration in this era of global warming – many environmentalists see wood and coal as carbon neutral, thanks to the ability of trees to grow and absorb the emissions of greenhouse gases. Coal was used for domestic heating, and perhaps we should start using more gas fireplaces fueled heating courtyard?
Completed the transition from a coal-based heating and industrial fuel to a recreational cooking material took place around 1920, when Henry Ford created the charcoal briquette. The activity proved extremely profitable for Ford, because the charcoal briquettes were produced from wood waste from factories and cars of its secondary activities also encouraged recreational use of cars for picnic outings nic – Selling great link ! In fact, a barbecue and Ford Charcoal were sold by Ford dealers as well.
The replication method is used for the production of coal briquettes and that is getting the wood through a series of houses or stoves and big revolution is that it is an ongoing process, rather than having to be imported into separate lots, as the traditional wood lump of coal. The traditional production of charcoal was piled in a pyramid of wood and covered with earth, grass, or ash, leaving the vents around the base and a chimney on top. The wood is then burned and left to burn slowly and, once completed, the mouths were then covered so that the pyramid would be cool.
Suppose that the benefits of briquetting are interesting for the production of business, but there is something magical in the production batch of lump charcoal. Various stages of the process are indicated by different colors of smoke that the moisture is removed and there is an element of skill to be transmitted from father to son. Perhaps I'm too sentimental, but when I cook with charcoal that I always feel safe knowing that this is a traditional sector of multiplication.
